Modern Slavery Statement

Financial Year 2025–2026 | Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Golden One Recruitment Ltd has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. Golden One Recruitment has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery.

2. Our Business

Golden One Recruitment Ltd is a UK-based recruitment agency providing permanent, temporary and contract staffing solutions across multiple sectors. We connect employers with skilled candidates throughout the United Kingdom.

3. Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include: technology and software providers, professional services firms, marketing and communications agencies, and other recruitment-related service providers. We are committed to ensuring that our supply chains are free from modern slavery.

4. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner, including:

  • Recruitment Policy: We operate a robust candidate verification process including right to work checks, identity verification and reference checks to ensure all workers are legally entitled to work in the UK.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees to report any concerns related to our business practices, including any suspicion of modern slavery.
  • Code of Conduct: Our code of conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all employees and contractors.

5. Due Diligence

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of modern slavery occurring in our supply chains, we:

  • Conduct right to work checks on all candidates before placement.
  • Verify the identity of all candidates using appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure all workers receive at least the National Living Wage.
  • Provide clear written terms of engagement to all workers.
  • Monitor for indicators of forced labour or exploitation.

6. Risk Assessment

We assess the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains on an ongoing basis. As a UK-based recruitment agency operating primarily in regulated sectors, we consider our direct risk to be relatively low. However, we remain vigilant and continue to strengthen our processes.

7. Training

We provide training to our staff to ensure they understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and know how to identify and report concerns. All new employees receive training as part of their induction.

8. Key Performance Indicators

We measure our effectiveness in combating modern slavery through:

  • 100% completion of right to work checks for all candidates placed.
  • Annual review of this statement and our related policies.
  • Staff training completion rates.
